About DGG

Read about DGG (the Derwenthorpe Governing Group) and DPAC (the Derwenthorpe Partnership Advisory Committee).

DGG -the Derwenthorpe Governing Group– was established in 2019 by JRHT and the DRA. It consists of five JRHT staff, and five members elected by residents.

Its purpose is to govern the Derwenthorpe site in the best interest of its residents. The full terms of reference are available from our DGG folder on Dropbox.

DPAC -the Derwenthorpe Partnership Advisory Committee– was established by JRHT and the City of York Council in 2008, as part of the section 106 development agreement (one of the conditions attached to granting of the site’s planning permission). The full terms of reference are available from our DPAC folder on Dropbox.

DPAC was re-formed in 2019, as a sub-committee of DGG. Its members are JRHT staff, City of York councillors, a resident representative of each Quarter of the estate, and a representative of Tang Hall residents (because construction traffic passes that way).

Both groups tend to meet on the same night: DPAC first, then DGG, in meetings that last about an hour each. They’re public meetings, so anyone can come along.
