Derwenthorpe is proud to be hosting Kate Pickett and Richard Wilkinson, authors of The Spirit Level: Why Equality is Better for Everyone and The Inner Level: How More Equal Societies Reduce Stress, Restore Sanity and Improve Everyone’s Well-Being, in a talk entitled  “Equality, lockdown and building back better”, to be held via Zoom on June 17th at 7.30 pm. The coronavirus crisis has brought into sharp focus and exacerbated the persistent and harmful inequalities in our societies, but while people are physically distant, many have discovered ways to connect with others and develop stronger communities.  We will discuss how the scale of inequality is central to understanding these patterns and how we can create better futures.
